Minos van Joolingen speaker at the Singapore Business Federation: The Netherlands as a European Base

On 13 September, the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) in collaboration with the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) organised an exclusive seminar, titled: “The Netherlands as a European Base”. At the opening sessions and during the parallel session, Minos van Joolingen (partner of BANNING Legal) informed Singapore companies looking to expand in Europe about the legal opportunities of how the Netherlands serves as a (legal) strategic location to service markets within the EU. During this seminar, practical advice was provided on starting a business in the Netherlands, contracting, agency vs distribution structures, brand protection in the EU, the EU-Free Trade Agreement and the benefits of using the Netherlands Commercial Court for international trade disputes, as an alternative for cross-border arbitration.
