Highlights of the Seminar on Employment Law & WAB: An Extensive Analysis and Discussion

Make sure you are up to date with our Employment Law seminar!

In addition to relevant lawsuits and new rules, this time special attention is paid to the Balanced Labor Market Act (WAB), which must come into effect on January 1, 2020. The WAB has consequences for, among other things, the chain arrangement, dismissal and the (calculation of the) transition compensation.

  • What steps should I take to be dismissed in the event of poor performance after a long employment relationship?
  • What are the new rules regarding on-call workers?

  • Can I hire a self-employed person without any risks?
  • How does the new ground for dismissal work?
  • What can I/can't I ask my sick employee?

The seminar consists of a plenary part and one workshop round.

  • Plenary part:   Employment law highlights of this year, new rules and the arrival of WAB
  • Workshop 1:   Dismissal law and file structure
  • Workshop 2:   Flexible employment relationships, new rules for on-call workers, payrolling and the risks surrounding self-employed people
  • Workshop 3:   Privacy and illness

The number of places per workshop is limited to 20 people. You can indicate in the registration form which two workshops you prefer. One of the two workshops is your backup choice.
