Joris Luijten graduated in civil law from the University of Nijmegen in 2007. His master’s degree course focused on matrimonial property law, the law of persons and family law. During his studies, Joris worked for six months at the universities of Oslo and Bergen in Norway, where he studied both legal and non-legal subjects. After a few student traineeships at several law firms in Utrecht and on Curaçao, he joined BANNING in 2008, as a lawyer in the law of persons and family law practice group. He is involved in all aspects of that area of the law. Joris has been a Board member of the Young Bar Association in the district of ‘s-Hertogenbosch since 2010. He likes to spend his free time on his racing bicycle or practising one of his other favourite sports.
