Debbie van de Laar studied Dutch law at Tilburg University. She joined BANNING in 2001, having previously worked as a legal assistant with a law firm and legal advice centre. Debbie advises companies and employers in particular on matters of employment law in the broadest sense. Individual employment law (termination of employment, contracts, regulations, competition clauses) and dismissal law are her particular areas of interest. Debbie also deals with matters of employee participation and advises and assists with reorganizations and restructurings, mergers and acquisitions.
In 2005 she successfully completed the postgraduate course in employment law (PALA) at Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

- regularly gives lectures (internal and external) and publishes on a range of subjects relating to employment law
