Peter de Boer graduated from the University of Groningen and later obtained a master of laws degree (LL.M) in Cambridge (UK). He also followed the Company Law course and the postgraduate Employment Law course at Grotius Academie. Peter works in the entire field of employment law, but in light of his background also in areas of the law at the interface of employment law and company law, such as the hiring and removal from office of managing directors, management agreements and transfers of undertakings. Peter regularly assists executives or advises on contractual severance pay, bonus structures, etc. He is often involved in advising on employee participation issues, reorganisations and the harmonisation of employment conditions. In addition to his own practice, Peter is also responsible for Banning’s employment law practice group and forms part of the firm’s two-member management board, together with Mark Bannenberg.
