Mark Bannenberg has been a member of the Partnership since 1 October 2001 and has been the Chairman of the Partnership since 1 July 2002. He studied Dutch law at Utrecht University from 1979 to 1984, and in November 1984 he was as a lawyer before the Court of Breda. After completing his three-year traineeship Mark started his own firm in Rosmalen (Municipality of ’s-Hertogenbosch) on 1 January 1988. On 1 October 2001 that firm (Bannenberg Advocaten) merged with BANNING Advocaten. In addition to managing the firm, Mark is involved in restructurings and company law in the broadest sense. Until 2000 he also often acted as liquidator. Mark is a member of Insolad, the Dutch Association of Insolvency Practitioners. Since 1985 he has also been a member of Aija (Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats), an international association of young lawyers (up to 45 years of age), where he has held various positions; in 1992 he assisted in organizing the association’s annual conference in Amsterdam. Through his membership of this association he has built up an extensive international network.
