EU & Competition

The EU & Competition practice group was set up several years ago when experienced specialists were recruited in the legal profession in Brussels and from the Netherlands Competition Authority. Over a relatively brief period the practice group has developed into a leading player in the field of (European) competition law, serving both national and international clients.

The practice is continuously expanding. The practice group now also includes attorneys from the international business community (Philips), state advocates and other attorneys. The young and motivated team therefore has a broad background, allowing it to offer a perfect combination of high-quality legal services and a practical, purposeful approach; an approach that appeals to many companies, institutes and authorities.

In addition to areas of practice such as cartel law, state aid, merger control and procurement law, the practice group is generally involved in drafting and in conducting negotiations on international commercial contracts. The practice group furthermore operates on regulated markets and represents companies in proceedings before the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa), the Energy Regulation Office of the Netherlands Competition Authority and the Consumer Authority.

Competing on the market is a dynamic rather than a static process. The attorneys therefore invest not only in legal knowledge, but also ensure that they remain up to date on current market developments. Practice has shown that this allows us to assist our clients even better and more efficiently. As an extra service, the practice group keeps you informed of relevant developments by means of newsletters, personal mailings and seminars.

The EU & Competition practice group is recommended in the leading Legal 500 list for advising a number of well-known multinationals.
