In 2010 Laurens Huisman completed with merit the master’s degree programme in Law, focusing on Private Law, at the University of Tilburg. During his studies, Laurens studied International & European law for a semester at the Helsingin Yliopisto (University of Helsinki) in Finland. Laurens graduated in the field of Company Law with a thesis on the effect of the introduction of the one-tier board model in the Netherlands on the liability regime regarding Supervisory Directors and executive/non-executive directors of Dutch companies.
Laurens has worked in BANNING’s Company Law practice group since 2010. In his day-to-day practice Laurens is involved in general law of obligations and contract law, focusing on distribution, agency and franchise agreements.
