Collaborative divorce
As an alternative form of conflict resolution, collaborative divorce offers the same benefits as mediation and ensures a balance between the partners in knowledge, skills, emotions and power. Aided by a team of professionals, the divorcing spouses work together to make post-divorce arrangements, with each partner being assisted by their own lawyer. The negotiations are supervised by a coach, and in addition an accountant, psychologist or child psychologist may be engaged if necessary. The team’s objective is to make arrangements where all interests of the partners, the children (if applicable) and a business are guaranteed without the need to take the case to court. In an environment of mutual respect and open communications, the parties lay the foundation for the future. For more information, please go to www.collaborativedivorce.nl.
