Jan Stadig studied law at Utrecht University and has been practising as a lawyer since 1982. His work focuses above all on assisting companies in difficulties, and he also regularly acts as liquidator or administrator. To give some examples, he acted as liquidator for Eurovos B.V. in Oss, Ruco Group B.V. in Valkenswaard, Tegema Groep B.V. in Eindhoven, United Bus B.V. (including DAF Bus B.V.) in Eindhoven and the theme park Het Land van Ooit in Drunen. Jan also has wide-ranging experience as a liquidator for construction and installation contractors, care and educational institutions and businesses in the fashion and textile sector.
Jan regularly represents executive and supervisory directors in proceedings relating to directors’ and officers’ liability, or in the difficult preliminary phase with the aim of avoiding personal liability. Jan also acts as a lawyer in other situations involving insolvency, such as court proceedings and debt collection.
A recent edition of ‘The Legal 500, Top Law Firms in Europe’ states that ‘Jan Stadig is widely acknowledged as a market leader’.
